Job Title: Associate Machinist
Job Description
The Associate Machinist works on the 2nd shift in a large manufacturing facility, setting up, operating, and maintaining a limited number of machine types in an industrial environment. This role focuses on producing high-quality parts by following detailed work instructions, performing basic inspection tasks, and supporting root cause and corrective action activities under close supervision. The position is ideal for someone early in their machining or production career who wants to build hands-on skills with state-of-the-art equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain assigned machine types in accordance with work instructions and method documents.
- Use work instructions and method documents to produce parts and perform in-process inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Document non-conforming material accurately and completely according to established procedures.
- Participate in activities to implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process issues.
- Inspect parts for cleanliness and quality, including performing routed and deburring operations as required.
- Operate inspection equipment and measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and conformance.
- Perform routed operations on parts, including mechanical assembly, automated testing, and aircraft part assembly as needed.
- Support production work by handling basic machining, assembly, and testing tasks under supervision.
- Maintain and care for measuring instruments, test equipment, and tools to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Follow all departmental safety rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during production and assembly activities.
- Lift, move, and position materials as required to support machining and production operations.
- Stand for prolonged periods while operating machines, performing mechanical assembly, and conducting automated tests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
